Week 5 Agenda (Lab Day 2): Movie Maker and Audacity

Before class:

Upload the video project plan and storyboard draft (Read the Week 4 agenda)
Turn in a hard copy of your video project plan & the storyboard

2. What 's next? (about 2 hours after class)
The steps for completing the video project
(1) start to record the audio narration this week!
(2) find the background music if you need
(3) record the sound effects if you need
(4) shot the video clips
(5) edit the audio in Audacity

How to manage your 'project' in Movie Maker

How to do simple narration in Movie Maker
How to trim videos
[you can review the MovieMaker tutorial website listed in week 3 agenda]

4. Audacity (for recording and editing audio)
how to record the narration
how to cut/ delete/ add
how to add one track
add background music
add sound effect
how to do fade in and fade out
how to save the audio file: EXPORT as WAV or MP3 (not save project)

5. how to edit photos (will not go through in class)

6. each group will meet with your instructor.
Turn in the video project plan and story board.

Collect all material needed (about 2 hours after class)
Record the audio, take pictures or shoot video clips
